Unit Role: HQ Fd Army directs, Force Generation for current & contingency Ops and for persistent engagement overseas.
Position Role: Responsible for the initial reaction to all operational inputs to the LOC, Fd Army and wider Defence at the 1* to 4* Headquarters levels.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of multiple voice (Vx) and data (Dx) communication systems for UK and overseas operations.
- Monitoring and responding to real-time incidents and threats using sophisticated Open-Source reporting assets.
- Informing the relevant Operational Teams (OTs) of any reports/ events requiring their attention.
- Initiating incident and crisis response working within OODA loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) protocols.
- Support the production of briefing products used for decision making at the 1* to 4* Commander level.
- Maintain the Operations Room Battle Rhythm (BR) for the Land Components contribution to UK Defence.
- Briefing Staff Officers working within Global Framework Operations Teams on current global events.
- Supplementary tasks as directed by the 1 & 2RO.
