Subject to a planned establishment change request being approved, a vacancy will arise for a Corporal (Logs - Supplier) to serve as RSW Support Logs JNCO on the Scottish Reserve Support Wing (SRSW) at Leuchars Station on FTRS (LC) TCOS Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 February 2027 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

The Post:

The mission of SRSW is to deliver motivated and inspired RAF reservists to Royal Auxiliary Air Force (RAuxAF) squadrons, ready to embark on Phase 2 training and ultimately deliver operational output for the RAF.

Reportingto the Wg Executive Support SNCO, the Logs JNCO is a vital member of the SRSW team who will work collectively and collaboratively to deliver our mission through a range of activities to attract and recruit candidates, deliver Phase 1 training, and other tasks to guide, mentor, and support people on their journey into the RAuxAF.

Although the SRSW is based at Leuchars Station, the post may be required to work in a variety of locations in the SRSW AOR, with a mix of home working and using the station as an office base when required. To support the delivery of SRSW’s core outputs, the role may require occasional travel, overnight stays, and weekend working.

Given the nature of the role, other remote working options are available,and consideration given subject to agreement at interview and with the post sponsor.

Post responsibilities:

As a member of the SRSW team, the responsibilities of the successful applicant may include some or all of the following:

  • Provision of initial kitting for Ph1 recruits
  • Low-level logistics support to RAuxAF units in the SRSW AOR.
  • Storage and maintenance of SRSW Engagement stores.
  • Undertaking and contributing to engagement activity, including representing the SRSW as a role model and delivering careers presentations at public events, shows, exhibitions, and careers fairs.
  • Arranging, delivering and supporting events for SRSW, both individually and as part of a team, including familiarisation events, presentations, and conducting interviews.
  • Instruction and support to SRSW personnel on the correct use of MT wrt JSP800 and use of CLARITY and MyDrive.
  • Supporting the delivery of training, specifically the Generalist Recruit Training Course - Phase 1 Part 1 (GRTC Pt1 Ph1).
  • Undertaking assigned projects and other duties as required by CoC to support delivery of SRSW mission.
