Subject to ECR action, a vacancy may arise for a Sqn Ldr (CE) to serve as a Space SATCOM Engineer at MOD Corsham on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 14 September 2026 or earlier/later, subject to candidate status.
Responsibilities include:
- Spacecraft engineering (Lifetime analysis, safe spaceflight, anomaly investigation support)
- Geolocation and Interference investigation to define future MOD Satcom Capability.
- Manage the UK’s engineering involvement in the Multilateral Allied MilSatCom Capability.
- Ensure that the UK gains full benefit by integration with Skynet Including (WGS and AEHF(NEST))
- Engineering Operational Liaison - Including stakeholder engagement, Satcom Engineering Solutions
- Represent the SATCOM Programme at Conferences and Exhibitions
- Conduct additional SATCOM engineering activities as directed by The SATCOM Chief Engineer and DSCE.
