Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF3 to serve as Future Operations Product Owner at Gosport on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Jan 2027.

Unit Function: Support operational effectiveness through delivering reliable, trusted and efficient services to the Regular, Reservist and Veteran communities.

Position Role: Responsible for the DBS End-to-End (E2E) processes to ensure the effective digital delivery of policy requirements in Military HR IT systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as SPOC / lead on Mil HR IT changes to areas of Pensions, Pay, and Administering Personnel.
  • Responsible for E2E (requirements definition, testing, other technical LOD) management of respective policy implementation and associated change requirements delivered by Military HR IT system functions.
  • Be cognisant of Joint HR policies such as (but not limited to) Career Management, HR Delivery, pay, allowances, entitlements, Terms of Service, and interfaced HR IT systems.
  • Liaise with MOD, single Service (sS) and OGD SMEs to translate policy into change requirements and ensure it is correctly reflected in Military HR IT system processes to meet end user need.
  • Liaise with DBS Commercial Partners to ensure policy is accurately and efficiently translated into a technical requirement and effectively delivered via Military HR IT systems.
  • Liaise with relevant internal DBS departments where applicable to ensure compliance and coordination of requirement implementation and change to current systems and processes.
  • Develop knowledge of the change process and system capabilities to provide process advice and problem resolution to DBS and wider MOD policy community.
  • Represent DBS at MOD and sS policy Working Groups and Focal Point meetings, and provide advice and guidance on impacts / implementation of broader Defence activities such as DefHRS / HRAFI.
