| Domestic Considerations: There is significantly opportunity to conduct hybrid working in this role, and line management is open to routine remote working. Applicants should be prepared to conduct routine visits to JAC units and outside parties at reasonable notice. Position Role: Responsible to Comd JAC, through AH Safety and Assurance (AH S&A) in his capacity as the Operational Duty Holder (ODH) for supporting risk management practices primarily through the establishment and maintenance of JAC platform Air System Safety Cases (ASSC). Responsibilities: 1. In conjunction with the appropriate Delivery Duty Holder (DDH) Air Safety Team (AST), proactively manage and continually develop allocated JAC platform ASSCs. 2. Regularly engage with platform ASTs (minimum quarterly) and attend platform Air Safety Boards. 3. Act as an SME for the provision of ASSC advice on allocated platforms to the command. 4. Liaise, at up to 2* and equivalent civilian levels, across Defence and Industry partners on ASSC and Air System Safety Working Group (ASSWG) matters. 5. Act as Secretary for your platform ASSWG. This requires SCOs to adhere to the ASSWG battle rhythm as laid down in the Air Safety Management Plan (ASMP). Track and progress ASSWG actions, Service Inquiry, Occurrence Safety Investigation and JAC Assurance Recommendations for your allocated platforms. 6. Attend allocated Platform Safety and Environment Working Groups and Platform Programme Boards Provide support to pre-ASAVs as required to platform ASAVs. Attendance on the ASAV by exception. 7. Liaise with JAC SO2 Risk Management for the following tasks and responsibilities: (1) Daily monitoring of platform specific DASORs to identify trends. (2) Provide input to the ODH Review Group. |
