Subject to formal establishment, Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as SO2 JE ISIO SO2 at PJHQ Northwood on Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS)FTRS (LC), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Oct 26 (or earlier/later, subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
Unit Function: PJHQ Joint Effects (JE) is the UK hub for operational level Full Spectrum Targeting. Working across UK Defence, US Combatant Commands and Theatre HQs, JE aligns operational demand with UK capability to deliver operational effects
Position Role: To deliver Intelligence Support to Information Operations (ISIO) to provide UNDERSTAND, ANALYSIS and ASSESSMENT support to deliver Cognitive Effects.
Responsibilities:
- Through Defence wide engagement, provide and maintain Information Environment Analysis (IEA) support to PJHQ-J10.
- Define the Information Environment (IE) baseline and conduct/coordinate Analysis to support Audience-centric effects based J10 planning.
- Support J10 planners in the development of Measurement of Effectiveness (MoE) and indicators and provide IE fused campaign assessment reporting.
- Coordinate narrative, messaging and sentiment analysis to inform IE assessment, sentiment trend reports, vulnerability and opportunity assessment.
- Provide ISIO input, including planning insights and threat forecasting to PJHQ Information Effects Working Groups (IEWG), and J3/J5 led OT forums.
- Manage the internal PJHQ prioritisation of Audience and Channel Analysis; task appropriately through ISTE and other delivery organisations.
- Manage the JE Int Requirements Management (IRM) process, staffing requirements through PJHQ J2 as required. Support J2 IRM & CM with IEA feedback.
- As line manager and 1RO to SO3 ISIO (full time regular OF2), provide oversight, direction, guidance and subordinate development to your deputy.
