A vacancy has arisen for a Sqn Ldr and Any to serve as SO2 ACE at HWY on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 08 September 2026.
As SO2 ACE, you will work apart of the Air Capability Strategy Integration team. You will generate the components of airpower and develop our capabilities in order to achieve precise campaign effects across the spectrum of operations whenever and wherever they are required. You will be responsible for optimising the current, planned and potential future Air Power capabilities by exploiting opportunities with the Air Portfolio, across other Cmds, PAG and international partners.
The roles and responsibilities for this role are:
- Represent Cap Strat at ACE 1* steering group.
- Liaison with future air base requirements and Global Enablement Force regarding ACE and Tactical Datalinks
- Develop opportunities for integration and experimentation, in line with ACE exercises and warfighting connectivity, this should include Airbourne Gateways and Airbourne Nexus Node Integration
- Project management of BABELFISH series of experimentation linked to TDL, gateways and Airborne Nexus Nodes.
- Attend all ACE exercises.
- Act as Air Caps ACE lead for information advantage and Multi Domain Integration.
- Co-ordinate new ACE related requirements. Ensure requirements and set in consultation with stakeholders. Manage activity to secure funding/approvals.
- Engage with RCO to understand their ACE related projects.
