Subject to Establishment Change, a vacancy may vacancy may arise for a Squadron Leader Aircrew to serve as SO2 A7 Training Enablers at 11 Gp A7 on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 23 March 2027.

Role entails management and implementation of Operational Training Infrastructure (OTI) modernisation, specifically in the field of RAF Electronic Warfare (EW) to create a representative training CDOE and also involves exercise delivery for A7.

Responsible for:

  • Managing, implementing and delivering the Operational Training Infrastructure (OTI) to facilitate improved UK Air Collective Training; to include:
  • Supporting SO1 OTI 1Gp in the delivery of all 6 OTI Pillars required to support AIR participation in Exs across the world.
  • Ensuring maximum possible uplift in EW training capability for UK-based ACT events, specifically COBRA WARRIOR and STORM WARRIOR series of exercises. NB in 2027 this will include NATO Ex STEADFAST DEFENDER 27.
  • Supporting SO1 OTI 1Gp in the development, management and delivery of the 14 OTI pillars within the RAF EW/OTI Modernisation project.
  • Assisting in the development of the Air Operational Programme to meet the Tier 2/Tier 2+ Collective Training requirements to be delivered by 11Gp A7, in conjunction with Air A7 Trg Policy to meet airs and objectives of Air & Space Collective Training Strategy and Directive.
  • Representing Air, OTI and A7 at MOD, NATO alliance and industry-led UK and international meetings and conferences.
  • Supporting SO1 OTI 1Gp in the management and delivery of the Combat Air Interoperability Working Group (CAIWG), EW Workshops and F35 User Group Working Group (UGWG) meetings.
  • Completion of F540 monthly returns.
  • Delivery of A7 exercises as agreed with SO1 A7.
