Serve as a Grade 1 Staff Officer across the Personnel Directorate, shaping policy, providing authoritative advice and delivering wider priorities.
2.

Develop, maintain and assure Army policy and regulation for commissions, promotion, appointments, Reserve service, continuance and exit from service.
3.

Lead amendments to prerogative, statutory and regulatory instruments, ensuring lawful, coherent and deliverable policy.
4.

Direct complex policy casework, particularly at OF4 and above, balancing individual circumstances, Service need, precedent and risk.
5.

Advise selection and employment boards, Service Complaints, Army Board cases, legal reviews and senior decision-making forums.
6.

Exercise delegated authority for continuance and extensions of service, ensuring decisions are evidenced, consistent and defensible.
7.

Represent Army Personnel Policy at Defence, cross-government and external forums, building effective relationships and influencing policy outcomes.
8.

Line manage the SO2 Reserves and undertake additional duties directed by Hd Pers Pol (Army) and AH Terms of Service Policy
