Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF4 to serve as J4 Project Management Officer at Defence Academy, CSOC HQ on FTRS(HC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Sep 2026.
Unit Function
To provide world-class education and training to leaders in order to advance the Defence and Security interests of the United Kingdom.
Position Role
Undertake a project management led role in support of HQ Resources, responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering defined workstreams to time, cost and quality. A significant element of the role involves contractual management, including overseeing contractual obligations, coordinating jointly owned activities and managing delivery tasks as directed. Support senior stakeholders by providing timely asset, data and other project critical information to enable effective planning, decision-making and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver project management plans and associated artefacts in alignment with overarching programme governance and management frameworks.
- Establish, manage and assure document control arrangements, ensuring data are handled in accordance with appropriate organisational policies.
- Manage and assure survey delivery, inspection and condition assessment activities, working with relevant technical or asset-focused working groups.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder management plan, ensuring effective communication and alignment with wider programme stakeholder strategies.
- Produce reports, returns and progress updates, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, governance requirements and reporting standards.
- Coordinate workstream managers, ensuring KPIs are achieved and applying quality assurance processes to deliver project and programme objectives.
- Support senior stakeholders in planning activities, responding to requests for information and ensuring inputs are accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
- Chair and support project and contract meetings, manage resources and budgets, including development and management of business cases where required.
