Position Role: Hard Facilities Management (HFM) team lead, for ACOS Infra, providing direction and advice in relation to HFM service delivery across the Army Regular and Reserve infrastructure estate (including PFI and PPP sites) and, Overseas, Training and Built Estate (Nepal, Brunei and Germany). Working routinely with Army Basing & Infrastructure, across the Infra & Basing Br HQ, and the Regional/Training Infrastructure Leads to ensure: consistency of HFM programming, performance management and delivery, coordinating HFM support, and resolving or escalating issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide HFM subject matter expertise (SME) function within HQ RC, providing HFM advice to HQs SJC , RC, Infrastructure Cell Leads and Army Basing & Infrastructure (AB&I) regarding Maintain, Sustain and Minor Change requirements.
  2. Ensure compliance with infrastructure HFM policy and procedures across all Regions (UK and Overseas).
  3. Resolve or escalate risks and issues unresolved at regional level.
  4. Support the RC SO1 Infra Programmer with the accurate and timely development of the annual and long-term programmes of work for Regular, Reserve and Training estate to inform the Command Infrastructure Delivery Plans (CIDPs).
  5. Support regions in the delivery of CIDPs and reactive programmes.
  6. Provide advice and champion Land Management and Estate Optimisation opportunities for the Regular, Reserve and Training estate.
  7. Ensure the capability and risk-based estate classification (Op NEED) list is accurately maintained and control all requests for adjustment.
  8. Deputise for ACOS Infra Branch when required and directly manage the HFM team; responsible for staff effectiveness, efficiency. Co-ordinate professional development across the whole HFM staff cohort.
