A vacancy has arisen for a SGT to serve as SNCO Training at RAF Waddington on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 05 October 2026, or earlier/later depending on candidate status.
Responsibilities to include:
- The effective organisation, implementation and management of Training output for PTVR Intelligence Analysts and Officers, from completion of Ph1 Training through entirety of their career.
- Management and loading of trainees onto Phase 2 training RAFIC-R, acting as liaison with AIW, Chicksands to ensure training and welfare requirements are met through the duration of the course.
- Organisation of all Pre-Employment Training for mobilised PTVRs.
- Organisation and running of Intelligence Specialist Interviews.
- Initial Kitting and course overview at attestation and loading onto Phase 1 Part 1 at Central Reserves Support Wing.
- Management of IRW Holding Flt to ensure Reserves in-between Ph1 and Ph2 continue their development through maintaining mandatory training and trade courses.
- Loading and management of all Phase 3 courses incl RAFIAC.
- Loading and management of all Tradecraft sponsored courses.
- Loading and management of re-joiners onto the TaRC course at RAF Halton.
- Loading and management of OR’s onto the ROIT course at RAFC Cranwell.
- Processing of all RAPS events for Phase 1 & Phase 2 Reservists.
- Management of mandatory competencies and organisation of training weekends each year, to be advertised to, planned for and provided for the whole IRW PTVR cadre.
- Responsible for the IRW Supervisory Care Directive and Commander’s Risk Assessment.
- Include tasks from IRW XO, SO3 Ops, WO Co-Ord and FS Ops.
