A vacancy may arise for a Sergeant, Any to serve as SNCO TDF at RAF Lossiemouth on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 03 August 2026 depending on individual circumstances.
You are responsible to the STO through for specific duties as follows:
- Act as the point of contact for advice and assist the Stations Training Officer (STO) in the development and delivery of FD opportunities. Facilitate Force Development iaw the Force Development Training Guide.
- The delivery of training and development opportunities to include (but not limited to):
- Defence Workplace Trainer (DWT) Course, iaw AP 3379 Lflt 2425.
- Defence Training Managers Course
- Aviator’s Leadership Course.
- Assist the STO with the organisation of Stn wide development days for Whole Force personnel.
- Together with the STO and PLA, manage and execute a programme of regular TD visits, offering advice and training consultancy as appropriate with training delivery organisations across the Unit.
- Facilitate and deliver, where appropriate, the Human Factors (HF) and Error Management (EM) Foundation and Continuation training iaw AP8000 Lflt 8141.
- Guide and advise training delivery staff and Unit personnel on:
- FD including the Generic Performance Statement (GPS).
- Application of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) courses.
- Provide advice and guidance to Unit personnel on Service wide training specific matters, to include (but not limited to):
- Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) iaw AP379 Lflt 1550.
- Procurement of External Training iaw Reference A.
- Selection and sourcing of training manuals and publications.
- Training Improvement Form (TIF) process iaw AP3379 Lflt 1225.
- Acting as deputy building custodian for Bldg 23, including managing, and maintaining all Health & Safety, 4C’s and Fire log documentation.
- Additional responsibilities/Other tasks: Carry out any additional duties as defined separately by the STO or her/his nominated deputy. Furthermore, there will be occasional requirements for you to deputise for the STO.
