Pending establishment, a vacancy has arisen for a SERGEANT People Ops to serve as SNCO Standards, Appraisals and Training at HR Scotland – RAF Lossiemouth on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 07 December 2026 or earlier/later subject to candidate status.
As the SNCO Standards, Appraisals and Training you will be responsible to FS HR Ops for the day to day running of the Standard’s, Appraisals and Training Team and for the supervision of two JNCOs and two AS1’s. The role incorporates (but not limited to):
- The efficient operation of the Standards, Appraisals and Training Team.
- Lead for HR Scotland Transition to Conflict (TtC) planning and training.
- Responsible for the interrogation of JPA Error reports; identifying trends and analysis and providing corrective training for HR staff as required.
- POC for all SDA, HRR Spt and NBIS matters.
- Responsible for onboarding training matters for new members of staff.
- The management process for SJAR/OJARs and Insert Slips for Air HR Scotland units including initiation and the management of the appraisals register.
- Engaging with HQ Air for any SJAR waivers required.
- Provide OJAR/SJAR training as required to Air HR Scotland customers.
- Act as conduit between HR Scotland and Air HR Assurance ensuring that HR Scotland is compliant with current regulations.
- Ensuring all HR Scotland staff are operating in accordance with current regulations, BPGs and following correct procedures when operating the HR Hub.
- Tracking the supervisory and management checks within HR Scotland to ensure they are being completed in accordance with laid down time scales.
