A vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant any Profession to serve as SNCO Reserves Recruiting Team at RAF Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 September 2026.
As the Office Manager based at HQ R&S, RAFC Cranwell, you are responsible to FS Reserves Recruiting, for the functional efficiency of the office; managing, organising and controlling all resources relevant to the operation. As part of the transition to the Armed Forces Recruitment Service on 01 Apr 27, this role may see changes to responsibilities and C2 in line with Reserve Policy. Specific duties include:
a. The recruiting task as defined in AP3391. Maintaining a level of performance sufficient to meet the Business Objectives of RAF Recruiting and Selection, as defined within the Into Training Targets and specific objectives contained within the RAF Recruiting and Selection Mission Directive. This task is to be completed, whilst ensuring that all procedures and processes used to maintain the throughput of potential Officer and Enlisted Aviator are consistently applied.
b. Maintain and promulgate the Reserves Immediate Recruiting Brief (IRB).
c. Provide timely support, guidance and advice, as required, on the staffing of all issues relating to the recruitment to the RAF Reserves.
d. Foster effective working relationships with all key stakeholders including, RPMC, PSyA, MFBC, PSTS and RSW/Sqn/Recruiting Force staffs, and contract agencies i.e. Capita, Teleperformance.
e. Provide briefs, statistics and reports on RAF Reserves recruitment.
f. Attend regular stakeholder and Reserves Support Wings/Squadron visits and external events.
g. Deliver presentations to Reserves Recruiting courses, workshops and events.
h. Act as Line Manager and First Reporting Officer to 2 x FTRS JNCO Reserve Recruiters.
i. Deputise for FS Reserves Recruiting during any period of absence and undertaking all associated duties.
