A vacancy has arisen for a SERGEANT ANY PROFESSION to serve as SNCO DISCIPLINE at RAF Coningsby on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 January 2027.
The SNCO Discipline is responsible to the Station Warrant Officer for coordinating drill, and ceremonial requirements along with providing advice and guidance to all ranks regarding dress, deportment and standards. Your role responsibilities and personal objectives will be aligned with the responsibilities to support the Station Commander’s Enduring Tasks (24/7 support to QRA, Support to Global Typhoon Operations and Exercises, Transition to Conflict, Warfighting Mindset) and In-Year Priority Tasks.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate arrangements for station and local area parades and ceremonial events.
- Conduct drill and ceremonial instruction and maintenance of ceremonial equipment.
- The co-ordination and arrangements for Honours and Awards Ceremonies.
- Provide advice and guidance to all ranks with regards to dress, deportment and standards expected at RAF Coningsby.
- Co-ordinate and carryout out Risk Assessments for the Station Labour Force tasks and ensure SHEF policy is adhered to.
- Act as line manager to the Station Labour Force.
- Control and allocate all duties of the Station Labour Force.
- Oversee administration and provide guidance and advice to the Station Security Force (SSF) Coordinators for the SSF. Including allocation of SSF training dates for personnel on behalf of FP Trg Flt.
- The allocation of workforce requests for un-established commitments such as Working Parties and Parade personnel, duty rosters.
- Deputise for the SWO on the weekly Stn Cdrs Inspection Brief and Station Arrivals Brief in the absence of the SWO.
- Overseeing general camp cleanliness, paying attention to the preparation of areas prior to VIP visits and Stn Cdrs inspections.
- Station Liaison between MPGS and all other departments at RAF Coningsby Station for best practice.
- Any other duties as assigned by the SWO.
- Must remain in date for all RAF Coningsby Mandatory training including RAFFT and MOD 1&2 for ADC personnel.
