A vacancy has arisen for a OR7 Lower Air Tech Any or Sgt – Any Profession to serve as SNCO Apprenticeship QA Analysis Manager at 22Gp Apprenticeship Management Team (AMT) HQ RAF Apprenticeships Kestrel Court Quedgeley Gloucester on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 02 November 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status).
An exciting opportunity to join HQ RAF Apprenticeships, supporting the management, assurance and continuous improvement of one of the UK’s largest apprenticeship programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing apprenticeship data, ensuring compliance with government funding and regulatory requirements, and providing expert advice to stakeholders across the RAF. Working within a dynamic team, you will contribute to assurance activities, audits, inspections and strategic projects while helping to shape the future of RAF Apprenticeships through the effective use of data and management information. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, an interest in data governance and a commitment to delivering excellence. While there will be significant opportunities for remote working, attendance at in-person meetings and events throughout the UK will also be required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and analyse RAF Apprenticeship Individual Learner Record (ILR) data, ensuring compliance with Department for Education (DfE), Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, collate and interpret internal and external performance data to support assurance, reporting and continuous improvement across RAF Apprenticeships.
- Act as the lead specialist for government apprenticeship data assurance processes, ensuring the RAF effectively utilises available systems, tools and resources.
- Work closely with Apprenticeship Centres and delivery staff to maintain accurate, timely and compliant learner data.
- Provide data analysis, management information and statistical support for a range of stakeholders, including support to audits, inspections, assurance activities, governance forums and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
- Support the delivery and continuity of HQ RAF Apprenticeships' Management Information Systems (MIS) and Apprenticeship Service (AS) activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for advice and guidance on apprenticeship data management and ILR compliance across the RAF Apprenticeship network.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of apprenticeship projects, events, engagement activities and promotional campaigns in support of organisational objectives.
