This job is the defacto COS of a 63 Whole Force team split across two sites (Upavon and Warminster) which is responsible for delivering the in-year training for the Land Forces and elements of SJC from Initial Trade Training through Subsequent Trade Training, Collective Training and Mission Specific Training. Working closely with the AH Operate who has been in post for eight months and has a further two years in post.
Central to the role are three key outputs:
- Delivery of the business management function: Business management covers all aspects of G1 less discipline; Trawls, O&D, MS, Mandatory Trg, Structural Change, UATMSC etc.
- Pillar output coherence: Involves being the lead for Pillar Risk Management at the LWC, Risk Management working group, coordinating outputs from the 8 x SO1 led teams and ensuring effective communication between team leads and wider LWC teams.
- Projects: This is a G3/5 function. Where time sensitive work strands don’t naturally fall into one of the eight Pillar teams portfolios, the SO2 Trg Ops will deliver these work strands with support from SO1 Trg Ops.
