A vacancy has arisen for a SQUADRON LEADER ANY PROFESSION to serve as RESERVES CO ORDINATION OFFICER CONINGSBY at RAF Coningsby on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 November 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status).
The Reserves Co-ordination Officer is to act as the focal point for all Reserves activity at RAF Coningsby. Your role responsibilities and personal objectives will be aligned with the responsibilities to support the Station Commander’s Enduring Tasks (24/7 support to QRA, Support to Global Typhoon Operations and Exercises, Transition to Conflict, Warfighting Mindset) and In-Year Priority Tasks.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the implementation of the Station Reserve Integration Strategy, providing coordination, advice and support to Reserve integration activity.
- Coordinate Reserve Support Requests, including mobilisations, liaising with Reserve HQs, RAuxAF Squadrons and BSGs to deliver support across all professions.
- Provide education, guidance and specialist advice on Reserve service, employment opportunities and RAF Reserve engagements to the Station Commander and SLT through OC BSW.
- Be the primary POC for 611 (West Lancashire) RAuxAF Sqn and other Reserve units whether on base, parented or affiliated, linking into chains of command where appropriate and promoting coordination over RSD/ACT opportunities.
- Act as the primary Stn link onto the Lincolnshire Reserve units and co-ordinate Reserve activity pertaining to Coningsby.
- Coordinate support to Reserve personnel whilst they are employed at the unit.
- SME advice and support to the recruitment of Reserve personnel and Act as an independent panel member for Reserve recruitment interviews.
- Must remain in date for all RAF Coningsby Mandatory training including RAFFT and MOD 1&2 for ADC personnel.
