A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer (Ground Combat & Security Profession (GCSP) to serve as WO FP Reserves within the Reserve Coordination Cell (RCC) at RAF HONINGTON on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 May 2027.
The Reserve Coordination Cell (RCC) is a key component of the GCSP Professions Advisory Team (PAT), embedded within the Global Enablement Air FP staff HQ. The RCC is responsible for coordinating and supporting all Reserve workforce, training, and project matters impacting Air Force Protection. Adopting a Whole Force approach, the RCC plays a critical role in providing advice, guidance, and coherence across the collective HQ functions of RAF Reserves, the RAF Regiment Force, and the RAF Police Force, ensuring effective Reservist contributions to the enablement of Air and Space operations.
The following outlines the requirements for this post:
- Assist SO2 RAF Regt Reserve in ensuring Reserve Air Force Protection elements are integrated into the development and maintenance of force-level plans.
- Provide Air Force Protection Reserve input to Force structure reviews and the development and maintenance of Reserve concepts and policy.
- Liaise with RFMC and Reserve Capabilities to coordinate the delivery of MOD Reserve policy, initiatives, and utility.
- Support SO2 RAF Regt Reserves in managing Reserve matters within Force HQ and serve as a Reserve SME and advocate.
- Provide Air Force Protection input to Orders, Strategic Workforce Reviews, and Reserve Steering Groups at the Force level.
- Maintain effective liaison with RAF Police, RAF Regt Branch Professions, and Air FP Force Elements.
- Oversee Reservist individual and unit establishments within the Air Force Protection Force and coordinate capability utilisation across the wider Force.
- Ensure continuity and support across GCSP by covering responsibilities and maintaining operations during periods of absence or leave.
