A vacancy has arisen for a Sqn Ldr Aircrew officer to serve as RAFAT Supervisor of Flying at RAF Waddington on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 04 January 2027 (or earlier, subject to candidate status).
The RAFAT Supervisor of Flying (SOF) is responsible for providing supervisory oversight of the full range of HQ Display Air Wing and RAFAT Hawk T1 flying operations. The SOF will work closely with the RAFAT OpsO to manage the RAFAT Operations Room and will provide supervisory advice and guidance to all Hawk T1 aircrew. Additionally, the role will provide planning assistance to Hawk T1 aircrew, act as Unit Flight Safety Officer and provide staffing support to OC RAFAT. A knowledge of Flying Display management and Display Flying is preferred and the successful candidate may also provide supervisory oversight of RAFAT Display Flying.
