Army Reserve Light Cavalry.To deploy personnel in support of operations both overseas and in the UK with Regular units as individuals and as contingents.
UK Ops Offr - Reserve Officer within the Regimental Headquarters, with a focus on G3/5 within the Regiment and Brigade.
- Liaise with the XO and 2IC for input into the Regimental Forecast of Events
- Assist CO, 2IC and XO in the drafting of the Training Directive annually.
- Prepare admin and exercise instructions for all Regimental activities (incl. ADE, range weekends, ITR weekends), with support from the XO/TrgWO and to be implemented by them, in line with CO’s D&G and Training Directive.
- Assist the IO and RSO in the planning and drafting of the OSW and scenarios for Regimental FTXs, CPX and ATP in line with CO’s D&G and Training Directive.
- Perform the role of Operations Officer on Regimental FTXs / ATP in the field.
- Assist 2IC and XO in managing the cross-regimental training group.
- Carry out full range roles as CO’s principle G3 staff officer when deployed, including producing OSW for the BG, leading the Blue team during wargaming, and assisting the CO with the Combat Estimate.
- Any additional tasks as directed by the CO and RHQ.
