A vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant, People Ops to serve as SNCO Pre-Board at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 20 August 2026.
The post sits with the Promotions Pre-Board Cell and is part of D People Career Management and supports the RAF Promotions Processes for Enlisted Aviators. The successful candidate will form part of an 8 strong team managed by a FS based at RAF High Wycombe. The Pre-Board Cell primarily provides pre-boarding support to Promotion Selection Boards for all Enlisted Aviators. This will involve reading and scoring appraisal profiles and sifting out through Scio those who are ineligible and not competitive for Promotion. The successful candidate will also be involved in ongoing initiatives to support training and development of Enlisted Aviators and HR Professionals in the Appraisals and Promotions processes. This will include regular in person briefings to Aviator Development Courses, Units and virtual consortiums. Stn Duties including PCD and SRF are also a requirement of the role.
The new post holder will be required to undertake the online DLE Appraisals training, the Career Management Induction Module (CMIM) and observe a Promotion board remotely delivered by SCIO before a comprehensive on-the-job training process can commence. All Pre-Board personnel are in receipt of an MOD laptop and whilst the role is predominantly office based, remote working, is available for FTRS personnel.
