The Role: This is a demanding leadership and support role, assisting the Company Commander in the management, training, and welfare of a Reserve Company. You will help develop part-time soldiers and ensure the Company's operational readiness and effective integration with Regular Army units.
- Support the Company Commander in planning and delivering training activities, both in barracks and on exercises, to prepare soldiers for operational deployment.
- Assist in maintaining high standards of discipline, morale, and welfare within the Company.
- Act as a key link between the Company and Battalion Headquarters, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination of activities.
Nature of Post: Demanding – The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to balance civilian commitments with military responsibilities. The Coy 2IC must be adaptable, proactive, and capable of stepping into command when required.
Quality or KSE: Quality is essential. The post demands strong leadership presence, effective communication skills, and the ability to motivate Reservists. Previous leadership experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
