Primary Purpose
Be a Divisional Officer for Phase II trainees.
Superiors
The Phase II Divisional Officer is directly accountable to the Corporate Squadron EWO.
Authority
The Phase II Divisional Officer is authorised to:
- Liaise with relevant internal and external organisations in the conduct of Divisional matters.
- Conduct Divisional Officer duties such as awarding Remedial Training packages, NGT Warnings, MAA, and Kit Musters.
- Initiate Case Conferences, when necessary, in order to execute their responsibilities regarding the ‘Care and Welfare’ of the individuals within their Division.
Principal Tasks
- Care and Welfare of the Phase II trainees (particularly those under the age of 18).
- Provide advice to your trainees regarding Divisional Matters when required.
- Take full responsibility for the PVR/DUDT procedure and ensure the process is executed efficiently.
- Complete all necessary Divisional Documentation pertaining to Phase II trainees, including end of course SJAR.
- Liaise with the relevant Trade School at all times regarding the progress of your trainees, ensuring to highlight any diary clashes early between the Professional School and Corporate responsibilities to avoid confusion/mistakes.
- Liaise with the Career Managers regarding your trainees’ first assignment and book all necessary courses prior to joining.
- Liaise with RALEIGH ‘Stats and Plans’ regarding all nuances and anomalies pertaining to a trainee’s current and future training/career path.
- Attend weekly Ph2 Trade School training meetings and Divisional meetings when required - deputising for the EWO when necessary.
Secondary Duties
- Undertake Corporate Squadron Duty Instructor duties as directed.
- Lecture Phase II trainees in designated Naval General Training subjects if required.
- Attend the Carers Forum when requested by the EWO.
