The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

The primary purpose is to deliver or facilitate the delivery of Interval, Arms, Sword, and Manoeuvre Drill. Dependent on the training environment in which the Drill Instructor is employed, the emphasis may shift from one tasking area to another or there may be additional specialist requirements within a particular tasking area.

Assist the Senior Instructor (SI) in the professional development of the Parade Staff in their knowledge, understanding and skill of Drill and current instructional methodology. Manage the OR4 Drill Instructors in teaching recruits basic Interval, Arms and Manoeuvre Drill, Naval ethos, heritage, and history. Supervise and mentor the OR4 Drill Instructors, OR2 and INT Staff through Ceremonial Divisions routines. Deliver sword drill training to INT Officers, WO1’s and WO2’s in their role.

The secondary purpose is to assist the SI with maintaining discipline and additional taskings that contribute to the wider Establishment that include:

  • Building Coordinator
  • HS&EP Representative
  • SPF Manager
  • SharePoint Administrator

Attend Establishment meetings and be prepared to back brief the Department on Tuesdays Departmental meeting (1115).
