Unit Role: Deliver specialist Raiding capabilities on operations and at readiness, generate FE for LRG-operations and develop SpecOps capabilities to support an operate-operate Cdo Force.

Position Role: To act as the MEO onboard the Mk10 LCU and 2IC of section, providing engineering support to the coxswain and assurance to MEO Sea.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for correct operation of LOTO and SSOW at sea.
  • To ensure all administrative tasks are maintained and the facilities log is updated accordingly.
  • Diagnose defects on LCU equipment & systems, conduct craft maintenance and ensure UMMs is completed and recorded correctly.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment, systems and machinery within the section, following SSOW and correct Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Provide engineering advice to the coxswain regarding engineering limitations of the craft.
  • To conduct rounds on all machinery whilst the craft is underway, providing maximum power to command.
  • Support training and development of peers, subordinates and LC’s.
  • Accountable to Section Head and to deputise in their absence; maintaining engineering standards at all times.
