A vacancy may arise for a Flt Lt (Pers Trg) or WO (RAF PTI – PJI)/WO Air Tech (SE) to serve as Air Mobility FHQ A3/5 Para Support at AMF HQ, RAF Brize Norton, on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 23 November 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status)
Following a significant pan Defence expansion of mil para activity, an experienced WO/Flt Lt PJI is required to support the annual para planning processes of the Air Mobility Force HQ and assist SO3 Para in the day-to-day running of the A3/5 para desk.
The WO/Flt Lt A3/5 Para Support position responsibilities include:
- Provide SME Para advice and support to the AM Fce
- Liaison with FLCs on routine A3/5/7 planning advice and issue resolution
- Chair monthly Parachute Allocation Committee
- Weekly liaison with external and internal maintenance organisations and fleet managers regarding fleet availability
- Monitor Skyvan hours / usage
- Assist SO3 Para with Day-to-day management and progress of Para Requests for Change
- Assist SO3 Para with the compilation of the annual Statement of Training Requirement / Statement of Training Task and formation of Military Parachute Schedule
- Cover the A3/5 Para desk in the absence of SO3 A3/5
