Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF4 to serve as OF4 SLP Partners at Shrivenham on FTRS Limited Commitment (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 14 Jan 27.(or earlier/later, subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
Unit Function: Responsible for the management, development, delivery and assurance of senior strategic leadership development for partners, with responsibility for external DSLP and ADSLP. The role ensures programmes remain educationally robust and responsive to the needs of senior leaders across government.
Position Role: Responsibilities include curriculum development, programme governance, quality assurance, risk and resource management, evaluation and continuous improvement. The role requires extensive engagement with senior Defence stakeholders, academics, external specialists, and delivery partners, providing advice and recommendations to ensure leadership development products are credible.
Responsibilities:
Develop cross-Government partnerships with Departments, Academies and Partners to broaden participation and strengthen leadership development.
Manage external DSLP for HMG leaders, developing their ability to lead across organisational boundaries and operate in complex environments.
Manage external ADSLP for HMG leaders, enabling participants from wider Government to learn collectively and strengthen strategic networks.
Ensure programmes remain relevant to the challenges facing strategic leaders, including VUCA, change, resilience and collaboration across Government.
Maintain delivery capability for the Enterprise Leaders Programme, providing delivery, supervision and programme design expertise when required.
Maintain delivery capability for the Defence Connecting Leaders Programme, providing delivery and programme design expertise when required.
Maintain internal DSLP and ADSLP delivery capability, collaborating with DLC OF4s responsible for Defence delivery.
Provide professional advice and support to Hd DLC Delivery, Hd DLC and DLC facilitators, representing DLC at cross-Government forums
