Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OR7-9 to serve as Innovation Training Instructor at Defence Academy Shrivenham on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Nov 26.

Unit Function: To deliver world-class education and training to leaders to develop the intellectual edge needed for success on operations and leadership in government.

Position Role: The Innovation Training Instructor is responsible for the effective management and delivery of innovation training short courses within the Defence Capability Management School (DCMS).

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as an instructor on some modules of Innovation training, including lesson planning and delivering the formal assessment process.
  • Central point for organising distributed training, and participating in the delivery of it.
  • Supporting SO2 reviewing training feedback and managing continuing content and design adjustments and planned delivery changes.
  • Responsible for the regular review of welfare, compassionate procedures and discipline for students on course.
  • Coordinating visiting instructors and course industry visits, to ensure high quality learning experiences that support course outcomes.
  • Key appointment for ensuring security of staff/students, and that security procedures and protocols of all units are complied with.
  • Supporting SO2 in maintaining an auditable trail of course DSAT documentation and records in accordance with JSP 822.
  • Contributing to wider Defence Academy and UKDI activities that enhance the delivery of Innovation training.
