Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a OF4 to serve as ACSC SO1 DS Air 13 at Shrivenham on FTRS Home Commitment (HC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 30 Oct 2026.

To deliver world-class education and training to leaders in order to develop the intellectual edge needed for success on operations and leadership in government.
Position Role
Plan, prepare and deliver PDSE, training and assessment for ACSC and associate
courses. As part of the ACSC delivery team, plan, prepare and deliver elements of ACSC,
likely as a Term Lead with the need to be able to cover as syndicate DS, or as a Div XO if
required.
Responsibilities
- Provide post graduate level PDSE, training and assessment of all students on ACSC and associated courses.
- Act as a facilitator, mentor and example; to enable students to deal with complexity and develop and practice thinking and analytical skills.
- Research, prepare and deliver course material to ACSC course members (OF3-OF5).
- Plan, prepare and deliver course materials, modules and events, as directed.
- Be sufficiently SQEP to mentor and advise students and staff on other course competences if required (such as command and leadership, operational planning, staff skills, capability and acquisition, Understanding War, Strategy and Policy).
- Undertake Lead DS roles as directed, to develop, plan and implement course modules and exercises.
- Undertake staff and executive duties as directed to support ACSC and associated course administration, management, development, delivery and assurance.
- Be prepared to undertake additional duties as directed by Course Director, ACSC COS, DCOS or Div Dir / XO.
