A vacancy has arisen for a Sqn Ldr (Any Profession) to serve as SO2 ANVIL II Project Manager at RAF Marham on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 07 September 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). This is a staff officer, project manager role, working within AIR Cap and Progs, HQ Air Cmd but located at RAF Marham.
As the appointment falls under the UK F-35 Lightning Second Procurement Programme, you will be working for and reporting to the Air Capability Combat Air, Lighting Programme Manager, whilst directly supporting the infrastructure requirements of the Lightning Force at RAF Marham. There will be occasional requirement to visit HQ AIR but T&S rules will apply. Routinely the outputs required of this role can be delivered on a remote working or hybrid basis, according to Service need and the needs of the individual.
This appointment offers an exciting opportunity for the right person to have a direct impact on the support to the Lightning Force and its operational outputs. Working with the Ltng Force (LF) on behalf of the PM, assist in the governance and oversight of the Frontline Sqn Infrastructure Project ANVIL II, ensuring:
- Management and Command and Control of the Pan-DLoD ANVIL II Enabling Team;
- Development and management of the project schedule, in collaboration with the Ltng Pg PMO & Air-Infra, capturing key activities and milestones, deconflicting with LF and Stn commitments;
- Provide a PoC to represent Air-Infra / ANVIL II at CAFHQ led ANVIL Readiness Reviews;
- Across all stages, be able to lead engagement with the US led Joint Program Office (JPO) with regards to information requests, site readiness reviews and other site visits;
- Ensuring the accurate management of information and artefacts to enable collaborative working and retention of records;
- Provide specialist input to Pg Working Gps / Boards as required, including documents/presentations.
