Subject to formal establishment, Joint Boarding process and sS Policies, a vacancy will arise for a OF2 to serve as SO3 Defence Exercise Programme (DXP) at the Integrated Warfare Centre, Northwood HQ, on ADC Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 1 Aug 26 (or earlier/later, subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
Up to 180 RSDs per year / total are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.
The position is currently funded to 31 Mar 28, but there is scope to extend beyond this date.
Unit Function:
The role of the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) is to optimise and adapt the current integrated force, through concepts and warfare development, to support UK and NATO joint commanders to achieve operational advantage over adversaries, across the continuum of competition.

The Defence Exercise Programme (DXP) is the sum of all exercise activity across the MOD. It is not a ‘programme’ as such, as it is not subject to a single controlling authority, although the Defence Strategic Effects Cycle (SEC) sets priorities for exercises against other demands. The DXP team within the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) Joint Force Development & Integration (JFDI) act as the focal point to cohere the programme to best achieve efficiency, optimise Joint Enabler support, and align exercise activity with Defence Strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Support SO2 DXP in ensuring the alignment of the DXP with Defence strategy through the Strategic Effects Cycle.
- Support SO2 DXP in hosting the monthly DXP working group (SO1 / SO2 level) to enable the prioritisation and allocation of resources.
- Highlight risks, issues and opportunities for Defence within the DXP for escalation through Hd WarDev.
- Support SO2 DXP in the delivery of the biannual 1* Training Integration Steering Group (TISG).
- Act as focal point for users of the DXP software tool, Lighthouse, facilitating accurate and timely population, as well as providing feedback to drive software development.
- Liaise between sS, domains and enablers to ensure DXP requirements are met.
- Manage the DXP and TISG Teams channels
- Deputise for SO2 DXP as required and Support the wider JFDI pillar as priority dictates.
