Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as SO2 Targeting at Northwood HQ on FTRS(LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Sep 26, earlier if achievable.

Unit Function: CSOC Capability Sponsor for C4ISTAR, Cyber, Information Activities and Outreach, Crypto and Joint Training and Simulation.

Position Role: CSOC planner for the development of Targeting capability in support of Defence (joint) requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support capability development and planning for the Digital Targeting Web and regularly reviewing related delivery progress and standing user requirements.
  • Support development of Cap Dev Digital Targeting Web community of interest to help cohere dependencies and opportunities.
  • Cap C4ISTAR desk officer lead for the progression of all Targeting projects and programmes that sit within the current Targeting AoR.
  • Responsible for raising: Options under the Annual Budget Cycle process; Business Cases for IAB/IAC approval; and Mandates for transfer to an SRO.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders: Defence Targeting Enterprise Office; DI Jt User; MSE; and Single Services.
  • Provision of SME advice on current and future targeting capabilities to inform Balance of Investment decisions.
  • Deputise for SO1 Targeting Cap as required.
  • Coherence and recording of targeting capability development risks within C4ISTAR Cap Audits.
