The predicted salary is between 49500 - 60500 £ per year.
Subject to formal establishment, Joint Boarding process and sS Policies, a vacancy will arise for an OF3 to serve at IWC, Northwood HQ on ADC, VTOD, Short Term Task Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Dec 26 (or earlier/later, subject to formal establishment and candidate status) for 12 months. Up to 180 RSDs per year / total are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.
Unit Function: Optimise the integrated force through concepts and warfare development, affording joint commanders’ operational advantage in complex battlespaces.
Position Role: SO2 NATO Collective Trg & Ex
Responsibilities:
- Support SO1 NATO CT&E to harmonise and integrate the UK CTE Programme.
- Attend the weekly Directorate and IWC Comd Gp coords; undertake actions accordingly.
- Provide support and advice on the NATO CT&E Directive and associated programme, and related policies.
- Co-ordinate and Sec for the UK NATO CT&E WG.
- Manage UK contribution to the STEADFAST series including engagement in DAGGER/DART when the UK hold ARF commitments and niche exercises.
- Support DEFENDER planning stage 0-3.
- Develop and influence key external relationships (MSHQ, PJHQ, SHAPE, UK NMR, sS, Cyber and Space ‘effects’ domain, JEF, ARF CC and Allied Nations).
- Manage, as alternate, and secondary OPR the UK reporting on NDRT/MTEP of key national exercises, operations and vigilance/deterrence activity (12m to 5 years).
- Maintain the UK Defence NATO TRX document. Liaise with planners to ensure accuracy.
- Support SO1 NATO CT&E with products for briefings and WG’s up to 2*.
- Co-ordinate NATO Clearing House requests.
- Facilitate visibility of NATO and National training and exercise shortfalls, brokering solutions.
- UK lead for ‘linking’ NATO and National exercises.
- Provide support and guidance on the process to all domains including staffing any submissions to SHAPE.
