Unit Function: IGDN commands, supports and assures the UK's PJOBs to deliver and enable ops, protect sovereignty and develop global hubs as strategic capabilities.
Position Role: On behalf of SO1 Ops, be the Desk Officer responsible for the delivery of Operational output within OB areas allocated and the conduit and UK focal point for oversight, delivery, and management of projects, command and support.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for IGDN stake in the outputs of AOR in line with defence requirements as the Desk Officer, SME, and single UK Military Point of Contact for all Operating/Operational Support issues.
- Implementation of Comd UKStratCom 4* OPCOM in all aspects and co-ordinating where the lead on an issue is shared between several organisations.
- Liaise with MOD, FCDO and OGDs in respect of issues of policy and planning for AOR.
- Compile and update Comd UK StratCom's directives, contribute to joint doctrine and provide briefs, Notes, and MinSubs as required.
- Conduct crisis, and joint contingency, planning for BFSAI with PJHQ. Attend pan-PJOB planning and conferencing, including with PJHQ.
- Maintain political and military SA of regional and allied partners, their intent and possible requests for utilisation of the AOR.
