Unit & Position Role

Unit Function

CSOC develops, generates, operates, integrates unique and pan-Defence capabilities to maintain operational and strategic advantage.

Position Role

CSOC co-ordinator and subject matter expert (SME) for maritime capability and activities. Provide oversight, planning, coordination, assurance, and execution for all aspects of maritime support, enabling training, force generation and operational capability.


Advise CSOC senior leadership on all maritime capability and operating activity issues and risks for ports, small boats and diving

SME for development and acquisition. Supporting concept of employment (CONEMP), concept of use (CONUSE) & statements of need requirements

SME for in service capability and operating activities

SME for Defence Maritime Regulations and Defence Policy development

Develop, implement and maintain CSOC maritime policy, procedures and governance requirements to comply with Statutory Legislation, Def Reg and Def Pol

Conduct audits and inspections covering safe to operate and operate safely. Actively monitor regulatory and assurance activity, maintaining accurate data

Maintain Customer Supplier Agreements with the single Service providers

Provide support and direction to CSOC units and personnel, liaising with stakeholders and attending meetings

This post is suitable for flexible working – details to be agreed with 1/2RO.

The post will include some travel to UK and overseas locations, including where necessary to operational theatres.
