Position Role: On behalf of RE Corps Colonel, manage the RE Apprenticeship Programme and wider RE Accreditation activity, as part of RE Professional & Personal Learning & Development, in direct support of the RE Corps Strategy, The Army People Plan and the 2025 Strategic Defence Review.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design and delivery of Corps Apprenticeship and Accreditation programmes, aligned with Army People Strategy and Defence Education Policy.
- Build and manage relations with AHQ, providers, regulators, InstRE and RECPD; represent the Corps at boards and ensure optimal delivery to our SP.
- Provide senior oversight of performance, compliance and reporting; assure contracts with training providers and assessment organisations.
- Assurance Improvement - Oversee quality assurance and compliance with Ofsted, DfE, awarding bodies and AAP; lead annual reporting and improvement activity.
- Advocacy - Promote the programme’s offer across the Corps to improve understanding, uptake, professional development and MilEng capability.
- Interpret apprenticeship and accreditation policy; ensure governance alignment and provide authoritative regulatory advice to commanders.
- Integrate programmes with trade training and Field Army needs, working with units to maximise access and support soldier development.
- Lead and manage the Apprenticeship and Accreditation Branch workforce as Single Reporting Officer; deliver wider RHQ RE duties as directed.
