Position Role
Regimental Administrative Officer (RAO): The RAO is responsible to the Commanding Officer, for a variety of functions that constitute the Regimental Administration Office.
In particular the management of pay and allowances, military personnel documentation, travel and movements, Internal Audit of Public and Non-Public Funds, Admin, Data Protection and the maintenance of JPA at unit level.
- Lead for all personnel administration outputs of the ULOTC to ensure ULOTC G1 readiness and training effectiveness.
Oversee and optimise the management of all service personnel, ensuring that administrative and financial functions are conducted with precision.
- Lead the career management, welfare and mentoring of the G1 cell hybrid workforce.
Ensure full G1 preparedness for unit training and associated deployments, ensuring personnel are correctly administered, processed, and equipped for deployment.
- Lead for all relevant personnel management checks and internal assurance processes in compliance with Defence and s S policy.
- ULOTC Checking Officer for Unit public funds, JPA i Expense Auditor and Internal Auditor for Service Charitable Funds.
Serve as the lead financial officer within the unit, overseeing budget management and expenditure to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Conduct the duties of ULOTC Data Protection Advisor.
- Lead on ULOTC information, data governance and assurance and improvements in Unit KIM maturity on behalf of SIO.
Provide strategic oversight of all personnel administration and associated G1 services, ensuring governance structures are robust and fit for purpose.
- Lead the promotion and maintenance of SPS ethos within the G1 cell in accordance with the V&S of the British Army.

University of London Officers' Training Corps (ULOTC) is to develop the leadership potential of selected students and Army Reserve potential officers, and to promote the Army’s ethos and career opportunities in order to secure commitment to the Army, first as officers, but also as future leaders in their chosen profession who will champion the Army in society.
RSDs
35 - 60 as standard. Further RSDs/STs are available for certain taskings.
Routine
Parade Tuesday evening during University term time (1745-2100 approx) - new training year starts Sept/Oct.
Approx 7 Green Weekends; a summer Annual Deployment Exercise; as well as various Special to Arm visits and Leadership events.
Ample opportunity to lead and/or support additional activity such as AT, Battlefield Tours, development training.
