Domestic Consideration: must live within 1 hour travelling time of HQ Coy (27 St John's Hill, Battersea, SW11 1TT). Must be able to attend Drill Knights Tue/Wed and work during weekends when required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaison with Local Brigade Staff Officer Grade 2 (SO2) Staff and Personnel Support Branch (SPS).
  • The personal development, motivation, welfare and career management of:
  • AGC SPS (R).
  • Civilian clerical staff within RHQ.
  • Line Manager of Company PSAO’s.
  • Cash Office Management (COM) Checking Officer.
  • Service (Charitable) Funds Internal Auditor.
  • Data Protection Advisor.
  • Manager of RFCA Grants.
  • Manager and Control of Bde delegated budgets.
  • Unit Resettlement Officer.
  • Training and Career Management of RAO Civilian Staff, including countersigning Officer duties.
  • Advice to and supervision of Company PSAOs in respect of the maintenance of Service Funds, and RSD process, CHURCHILL download to JPA and all other G1 personnel matters.
  • Ensure that all Military Personnel on the established strength of 1 London Guards receive their correct pay and allowances in accordance with current regulations.
  • Provide advice, guidance and financial counselling on pay, allowances, charges and non-effective benefits and to staff such special cases as may arise through the chain of command.
  • Unit PVRO.
  • I-Expense auditor.
  • Career manager for AGC(SPS) military personnel.
  • Mandatory attendance at all weekday evening training periods (Drill nights).
  • Officer in charge of Battalion Field Admin Office during weekend deployments.
  • Deploy on and provide G1 and G8 support during annual 2 week continuous training exercise.
  • Casualty Notification Officer/Casualty Visiting Officer duties as required.
  • Lead responsibility for all Army Reserve distributed mobilisation procedures.
  • Stand in Adjutant during periods of absence.
  • Provide advice and direction to the Battalion Chain of Command in all G1 and G8 matters.
  • Other Duties: To assist, where requested and appropriate, with any sponsored associations particularly where that assistance is for the good and benefit of 1 London Guards as a whole.
