Position Role: Staff Assistant MS.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide a direct interface between HQ LONDIST Branches and External Units on behalf of the Deputy District Commander, HQ LONDIST.
  • Representing the DComd’s views to stakeholders within the Army and to external organisations; using diplomacy and engagement skills.
  • To ensure quality, accuracy, timeliness and control of all MS matters which involve the DComd, in close liaison with MS Branch and Units.
  • To maintain a database of all Appraisals and MS matters where the Deputy District Commander is a reporting officer.
  • To obtain accurate visit briefs & personality briefs from units for all key personnel and those for whom the DComd is a RO.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the DComd’s Outer Office, when not working remotely.
  • Managing all aspects of the DComd’s diary including meeting requests, visits, transport and written, electronic and telephone enquiries.
  • Overseeing the provision of accurate and timely advice/briefings to the DComd, and to follow up progress where necessary.
