Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF2 to serve as SO3 C-CBRN, Northwood (NWD) HQ, on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of Jan 27.
Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) C-CBRN provides Lead Command advice, strategy development, policy contributions & cross-Defence support for reporting contingent risk to the MoD.
The role will require a dynamic and confident individual who can combine sound subject matter expertise with excellent communication skills. The role leads a critical area of business, briefing upwards and line managing specialist staff. This pinnacle position offers the opportunity to help shape, lead and work across Government and Defence and is relatively unique. The role would suit an aspiring individual who can make their mark.
Responsibilities

1. Coordinate Defence c-CBRN governance activity, maintaining outputs for the DCDB, DCIB and associated working groups. |

2. Manage staffing actions and secretariat functions across Defence c-CBRN programmes and workstreams. |
|
3. Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of c-CBRN exercises, experimentation and warfare development activities. |
|
4. Maintain records of Defence c-CBRN capability gaps, risks, lessons identified and lessons learned. |
|
5. Coordinate stakeholder engagement across UK Defence, NATO, industry and other government departments. |
|
6. Contribute to the development of c-CBRN concepts, policy, training and warfare development products. |
|
7. Provide programme management support to the Defence CBRN Strategy implementation programme and associated reporting requirements. |
|
8. Work as directed by SO1 /SO2 c-CBRN on discrete Integration projects or to support other Jt User outputs. |
