Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF3 to serve as SO2 C-CBRN, Northwood (NWD) HQ, on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of Jan 27.
Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) SO2 C-CBRN is the lead for C-CBRN, providing Lead Command advice, strategy development, policy contributions & x-Defence spt for reporting contingent risk to the MoD.
The role will require a dynamic and confident individual who can combine sound subject matter expertise with excellent communication skills. The role leads a critical area of business, briefing upwards and line managing specialist staff. This pinnacle position offers the opportunity to help shape, lead and work across Government and Defence is relatively unique. The role would augment an aspiring individual who can make their mark.
Responsibilities

1. Lead the development of Defence c-CBRN warfare development outputs, recommendations and associated assurance activity. |

2. Coordinate Defence c-CBRN activities across Front Line Commands, PJHQ, DSTL, DNO, NATO and FVEY stakeholders. |
|
3. Identify, assess and report Defence c-CBRN capability gaps, operational risks, lessons and opportunities. |
|
4. Support implementation of the Defence CBRN Strategy and contribute to Defence c-CBRN policy development. |
|
5. Lead preparation of evidence, papers and reporting for the Defence C-CBRN Delivery Board and Implementation Board. |
|
6. Line manager responsible for the professional and pastoral oversight of SO3 c-CBRN team member. |
|
7. Deputise for the SO1 c-CBRN and represent IWC at Defence, NATO and cross-government forums. |
