Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF4 to serve as CSOC HQ SO1 Ops at IWC, Northwood HQ on FTRS (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Oct 26 (or earlier/later, subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
Unit Function:
Cyber & Specialist Operations Command is responsible to Defence for generating and operating specialist capabilities, ready to fight across all domains to make the United Kingdom secure at home and strong abroad.
Position Role:
SO1 Ops is responsible to DIWC, through AH Ops, to cohere pan-Command capabilities and responsibilities in the short- to medium-term, aligning and prioritising resource to mitigate risks and delivery effect.
Responsibilities:

1. Maintain SA on operational delivery across the Command, at all classifications. |

2. Generate decision briefs up to 4* level to mitigate risks |
|
3. Generate formal responses to MSHQ, DOS, NAD and DNE on behalf of CSOC senior leadership on operational issues. |
|
4. Lead engagement with MSHQ on the CSOC contribution to the Strategic Effects Cycle and Globally Integrated Plan. |
|
5. Lead on the development and employment of tools to enable all Ops functions. |
|
6. Contribute to the management of the readiness risk for the Command. |
|
7. Liaise with sub-Commands, other Military Commands, MSHQ, Partners across Government and Allies & Partners on behalf of the Command HQ. |
|
8. Deputise for AH Ops when required. |
