Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF3 to serve as CSOC HQ Climate Resilience, Energy & Sustainability SO2 at Northwood HQ on FTRS (HC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 July 2026.
Unit Function
The CSOC Climate Resilience & Sustainability (CR&S) Team is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the CSOC Climate Change & Sustainability sub-strategy and delivery of resilience goals and ambitions across all functions of the Command to achieve commitments and targets coherent with CSOC Command Plan and MOD Head Office direction.

CSOC Climate Resilience, Energy & Sustainability (SO2) Analysis and Projects
Responsibilities
- Coordination and development of climate impact risk assessments across CSOC units to support resilience, in line with CSOC Resilience Strategy and Policy.
- Interpret and analyse data to support CSOC climate and sustainability reporting, guiding investment decisions and prioritisation.
- Maintain established data sets to support sustainability and efficiency objectives across CSOC. Outline data driven opportunities to support CSOC CRE&S team.
- Inform the development of CSOC CRE&S implementation plan and related policy documents.
- Support the CSOC PSyA Resilience team with the development of broader sub-org resilience goals through collaborative work, unit-level liaison and engagement.
- Support and collaborate with the International Global Defence Network (IGDN) to implement and deliver CR&S goals across the overseas estate.
- Liaise with the Operational Energy Authority (OEA) within the National Armaments Directorate (NAD) to deliver energy insights and initiatives.
