A vacancy has arisen for a Sqn Ldr (Any Profession) to serve within the Lightning Programme Management Office (PMO) at HQ Air Cmd under flexible working arrangements on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of being not before 05 October 2026. This is a Project Management staff officer role within Air Capability Combat Air, Lighting PMO.
Working with the Ltng Hd PMO to assist in governance and oversight of the Programme by:
- Ensuring the development and maintenance of numerous artefacts in support of the SRO to assist in Governance and oversight of the Lightning Programme;
- Acting as the information hub for the Programme, such that all Programme personnel are able to access the most current single version of the truth through robust management of version control;
- Providing Executive Summaries of major documents entering/affecting the Pg and generating follow-on action plans where business change is identified;
- Assisting the Hd PMO provide specialist management of all Lightning Approvals and lead on the co-ordination and management of the Pg Change Management Process, ensuring that all follow-on actions post Approvals and SRO direction is undertaken.
The Information Management Lead is responsible for:
- Handling all substantive Programme information, version control, and synchronising provision to the SRO, Programme Director, Programme Board and other stakeholders within defined timescales;
- Acting as the SharePoint and MS Teams SME by co-ordinating the ongoing development of the Programme Team sites to be fit for purpose and compliant with PfO and PMSF information requirements / best practice.
