A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer Logistics (Supply) to serve as Warrant Officer Logistics at RAF Air Cadets HQ RAFC Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 08 March 2027. Warrant Officer Logistics at RAF Air Cadets Headquarters is the Logistics (Supply) subject matter expert, responsible for the oversight and coordination of logistics support across the organisation. The role supports RAFAC HQ, six RAFAC Regions, comprising 34 Wings, over 900 ATC Squadrons and more than 200 CCF(RAF) contingents, all sustained by 28 parent units across RAF Stns and wider Defence.

Key responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Maintain an effective and compliant RAFAC logistics system, acting as the lead for Logistics (Supply) policy and its delivery across the organisation.
  • Act as Deputy Head (2i/c) of the Logistics Department, with line management responsibility for departmental posts.
  • Serve as the RAFAC logistics focal point for Region Functional Operating Model staff managing access to MOD logistics systems on behalf of volunteers and cadets.
  • Support the delivery of the RAFAC Logistics Operating Model, including the establishment of Regional Logistics Hubs in line with future logistics strategy, improving support to volunteers and cadets.
  • Provide oversight of logistics support delivered from parent units to RAFAC subordinate units.
  • Provide authoritative advice on logistics support and parenting arrangements, improving interoperability with parent Stns and units.
  • Support RAFAC Parenting Department activity where logistics provision is delivered through RAF Logistics Sqns or contracted support solutions.
  • Coordinate and assure RAFAC logistics scales, ensuring they remain current, appropriate, and aligned to operational requirements.
  • Act as the Logistics (Supply) SME for RAF/MOD transformation activity impacting RAFAC logistics support (including SSP, HERA and HESTIA as required).
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable delivery of change programmes and sustain support outputs.
  • Act as the primary RAFAC HQ interface with A4 elements and wider Defence logistics organisations (including DE&S, Field Army G4, Navy Cmd N4, Team Leidos and Defence Transformation).
  • Liaise with Air Support Commodities and Supply Chain Management on all RAFAC logistics supply requirements.
  • Monitor, review and articulate RAFAC logistics requirements, ensuring these are clearly communicated to delivery organisations.
  • Communicate logistics policy, procedures and updates to the wider RAFAC organisation and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor contracted support arrangements on behalf of RAFAC, reporting performance and deficiencies to Air Support contract authorities.
  • Support the development and delivery of new or revised contractual, user and volumetric requirements in conjunction with Air Support Commodities.
