Provide oversight to, and ensure, the safe, progressive, and challenging conduct of Physical Training on behalf of the Commanding Officer of RMR Merseyside.
Primary Responsibilities
- All aspects of UTS and GTS physical training including the timely production of all Administration Orders.
- Support the delivery of the Reserve Forces Commando Course as required.
- Planning and oversight of all RMR Merseyside RMFT/PES as directed.
- Permanent Staff Instructor for RMR Merseyside.
- Assure the gym equipment in all Unit locations as directed by the CoC.
- Sit as a member of the SHEF committee.
- All aspects of Physical health at RMR Merseyside.
- In conjunction with the USM maintaining a record of all ranks’ Physical assessments and publishing on orders those deficiencies as required.
- Identify, select, and prepare suitable ranks for the RMR PT1 & 2 course.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain oversight of the PT Qualified ranks in the unit and coordinate the provision of suitably qualified ranks Cdo Coy and Trg Coy as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the currency of all ETL/PTL qualified ranks and running refresher training as required.
- Assist the lead PSI with the delivery of the Candidate Preparation Course (CPC) for RMR/ MR ranks.
- Assist the lead PSI with delivery of trained strength weekends.
- Advise the Training Officer and Chief Instructor on all Physical training matters as required.
- Assist the C-o-C in delivering Unit outreach as RM and MR representatives, including local community engagement as directed by the Commanding Officer.

The Commanding Officer and the Training Officer.
Authority
Liaise with other Maritime Reserve and Royal Marines Units in the pursuit of the responsibilities listed above.
