Domestic Considerations, RSDs: The post offers a high attendance level and hybrid working days when appropriate, with the opportunity to work upwards of 44 days per year. Working pattern can involve week days and weekends during modular and consolidated courses. Army Reserve post, based in MERSEYSIDE with some travel and overnight duty required.

Position Role: Section Commander ATU (North).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the duties of a Section Commander delivering army reserve basic training CMS(R) Future Soldier.
  • Key responsibility is to deliver SAA to their allocated section within the Basic Training Platoon to WHT standard.
  • Fully conversant and compliant with all aspects of Basic training, either leading or supporting its delivery.
  • Assist the Platoon Commander with compiling Recruits report books and the Platoon Sergeant with administration.
  • Lead Recruits and inspire individual achievement as per the ARITC code of practice for instructors.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as required by the CoC.
  • Maintain regular engagement with own cap badge ensuring the individual remains SQEP within CEQ.
  • Any other tasks as directed by the CoC.
