A vacancy has arisen for a Chf Tech – Engineering – A Tech M / A Tech AV - to serve as Protector Force Engineering (PFE) Unit Movements Officer (UMO) at RAF Waddington on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 05 October 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to formal establishment and candidate status).
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring continued compliance with AP 100C-75 Support to Operations, Chapter 6.
- Ensuring continued compliance with AESO 2-1-1-01-04 (RAF Waddington UMO TOR).
- Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all Protector Force Engineering (PFE) movement issues and responsible for the dissemination of information to and from FHQ, Logistics Support Flight (LSF) and PFE.
- Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PFE and be available to address any questions which relate to support equipment needed to support the Operation or Exercise.
- Acting as the PFE LogFAS Module Manager.
- Coordinating and advising on the engineering and logistical requirements between Host Base Agencies, Project Officers and FHQ including regular reviews as tasked by Air Cmd.
- Monitoring the day-to-day organisation and execution of PFE mobility and logistic issues associated with aircraft deployments.
- Collating information received to ensure the correct allocation of PFE workforce and equipment to individual aircraft deployments under the guise of LogFAS.
- Liaising with the RAF Logistics Support Command (LSC) and FHQ to enable the correct and timely compilation of a deployment Force Element Table (FET) as and when required.
- Liaising with RAF Waddington’s FHQ-A4 Logistics Deployment Cell to identify and develop plans for scaling and support levels for PFE deployments.
- Ensuring pertinent information regarding any aircraft deployment is disseminated to all relevant agencies including the Deployed Engineering Officer (DEngO) and Aircraft Engineers.
- Coordinating the deployment and recovery of all PFE workforce, to include the promulgation of all necessary notifications and paperwork.
- Coordinating the deployment and recovery of all PFE GSE modules, in collaboration with the PFE GSE Managers, to include the promulgation of all necessary notifications and paperwork for those modules, IAW MOE Leaflet 144: TOR Airfield Support Equipment Manager.
- Constructing deployment pallet(s) ensuring the necessary tools and F&L are assembled to support individual deployments in conjunction with the DEngO, PFE tools SNCO and LSF.
- Ensure the requirements to support occasional line maintenance, at an unsupported location have been instigated in collaboration with DEO.
- Actively pursue your Health and Safety responsibilities, IAW RAF Waddington Health and Safety Manual and your Environmental Protection responsibilities IAW RAF Waddington Station Standing Orders.
